How to maintain active status
To ensure you can claim these benefits, you must keep your memberships active:
- OWWA: Membership is valid for 2 years. It costs US$25 and must be renewed if you change employers or if the 2-year validity expires.
- PhilHealth: The premium rate is 5% for 2026. Payment is usually made annually or semi-annually prior to deployment or via the DMW portal.
- Pag-IBIG: Minimum mandatory contribution is ₱400/month. You can pay via the Pag-IBIG Virtual website or remittance centers abroad.
- SSS: OFWs are mandatory members. The contribution is based on your declared monthly earnings (maximum ₱35,000 MSC). Payments can be made via SSS Mobile App or partner banks.
